Rich Branson

Rich Branson

MSc, RRT

Rich Branson is the professor of surgery in the division of trauma & critical care at the University of Cincinnati. He is also the editor of Respiratory Care. He is a fellow of the American Respiratory Care Foundation and SCCM. He has published over 250 original manuscripts and edited two texts.

Shawna Strickland

Shawna Strickland

PhD, CAE, RRT, FAARC

Dr. Shawna Strickland is a registered respiratory therapist and certified asthma educator. Her clinical focus was neonatal and pediatric intensive care and high-risk transport. She joined the AARC as an an associate executive director in 2013. She also currently serves as adjunct faculty at Rush University, teaching doctoral courses in educational leadership in the College of Health Sciences.

Jim Damron is a speaker, life coach, and the founder of Grapevine Academy, an online discovery platform dedicated to help improve the care of caregivers. He is also the author of Smoke Screening: Narratives to Navigate Caregiver Burnout, written to help caregivers manage the difficulties of burnout in their lives. Jim has worked 20+ years as a respiratory therapist and serves as a clinical ethics consultant as well serves as chair for an Ethics Education Sub-committee.
