AARC has been working with the Council of State Governments (CSG), and the Department of Defense (DoD) to support the mobility of respiratory therapists through the development of a respiratory care interstate compact. This additional licensing pathway will facilitate multistate practice among member states and reduce the barriers to license portability. Model state legislation to establish this compact has now been finalized and is available for state introduction. AARC will be working with the State Affiliates to get the legislation introduced in the states.
