According to AARC member Kelly Neis, RRT, UW Health welcomed their first cohort of Respiratory Therapy Apprentices on August 19, and the milestone was covered in an article on the WMTV website. During the three-year program apprentices are paid for time spent in the classroom as well as while working in various respiratory therapy support roles in the hospital. Read and Watch it Here

AARC member Megan Koster, EdD, RRT, RRT-NPS, was featured in an article on the Boise State University website about her receipt of the 2024 Louis Sinopoli Faculty Educational Respiratory Scholarship from the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care. Read it Here

AARC member Jimmy McKanna, RRT, RRT-ACCS, RRT-NPS, RPFT, AE-C, was featured in an article in Technology Today about a new patient monitoring app that is being used in his hospital’s Hospital at Home program. Read it Here

AARC member Nate Prater was featured in an article on the Fox4 website about his recovery from injuries sustained after he was hit by a flatbed truck while bicycling. Nate was treated by doctors at the very hospital where he works as an RT. Read it Here
