Remote internship will allow respiratory therapists an opportunity to learn the processes of peer-review, journal production, and other activities of RESPIRATORY CARE. Interns will:
- Shadow Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor in the manuscript decision process.
- Assist Editor-in-Chief and Managing Editor in editorial decisions as assigned.
- Shadow Journal staff in the production process (proofreading, etc.).
- Participate in weekly staff meetings by Microsoft Teams.
- Prepare a paper for publication in RESPIRATORY CARE.
- Maintain confidentiality of all Journal activities.
Qualifications are registered respiratory therapist; minimum baccalaureate degree, graduate degree preferred; minimum 5 years experience as a respiratory therapist; published in RESPIRATORY CARE or other peer-reviewed journals preferred; reviewer for RESPIRATORY CARE or another peer-reviewed journal preferred.
The intern must commit to 8 hours/week for 6 months; either January to June 2024, or July to December 2024.
