I have been a registered respiratory therapist for the past 12 years. Graduating from the Respiratory Therapy Program at UT Health in San Antonio, I obtained an MBA in Healthcare Management, along with a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care and Biology. Early in my career, I was a staff therapist and clinical educator at the Institute of Surgical Research. Seeking new challenges outside of critical care, I joined an adult respiratory company, where I played a key role in developing new treatment protocols and educational materials for home health patients.
I spent the past 6 years educating future professionals as an adjunct instructor, and am currently serving as Director of Clinical Education and Assistant Professor with the Respiratory Care Technology Program at St. Philip’s College in San Antonio, Texas. I continue to practice as a staff therapist at Baptist Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas, to maintain my clinical proficiency and stay connected with direct patient care.
