The Zenith Awards were started in 1989 as a way to recognize companies in the respiratory industry for their support of the profession. The AARC Zenith Award is the “people’s choice” award of the respiratory care profession because its recipients are chosen by you — the respiratory therapist. Manufacturers, service organizations, and supply companies receive votes based on the quality of equipment, supplies, or services; accessibility and helpfulness of sales personnel; responsiveness; service record; truth in advertising; and support of the respiratory care profession.
In an effort to better reflect the dynamic respiratory care industry marketplace, in 2024 AARC redesigned the Zenith Award from a voting process to a nomination process. You must be an AARC member in good standing to submit a nomination. Individuals can nominate up to three companies based upon the following criteria:
- Quality of equipment, supplies, or services
- Accessibility and helpfulness of sales personnel
- Responsiveness; service record
- Truth in advertising
- Support of the respiratory care profession
