About This Course

Patients experiencing a severe asthma attack often end up in the emergency room. Treatment for these patients has changed over the years and continues to evolve. Do you know the proper treatment for these patients? This presentation will test your knowledge of how to treat these difficult-to-treat patients. This presentation was previously released as part of the 2018 AARC Current Topic educational series.

Also included is the 2014 publication “Noninvasive Ventilation in Severe Acute Asthma” by Cappiello and Hocker, as referenced by the presenter. The article can be found under the “materials” tab in the viewer. It is recommended that the learner read this publication as supplemental material to the video.

**Please note that all programs require the participant to view the entire program prior to taking the final quiz and obtaining a course certificate.**
