World COPD Day @ the State Capitol
October 24–30
We’ll be asking groups from every state in the country to celebrate World COPD Day in your state capital cities.
You’ll be holding spirometry screenings in the state capitol building or the state Department of Health. Our purpose is to educate those state government leaders who are in a position to influence and create public policy on COPD. Helping them understand
- the prevalence of COPD
- its detection
- the success that can come from early treatment
will help millions of patients who seek government related services in the future and will sensitize our government leaders toward the needs of COPD patients.
Get ready to participate. Your State Society President may be mobilizing you soon to take action on this nationwide project.
