Online Gazette Delivers Inside Look at AARC Congress
The AARC wrapped up its 54th annual Congress on Tuesday, but you can still read all about the activities via our Online Gazette. So take a few moments to check it out and see what happened in Anaheim. We’ve posted some great photos from the event as well, so be sure to look for yourself and your colleagues.

President Bush Bestows Top Honor on Legendary Physician
Dr. Forrest Bird has received the Presidential Citizens Medal for his groundbreaking work in mechanical ventilation. The long-time AARC member was honored by President Bush in the Oval Office of the White House on December 10, shortly before he left to attend the AARC Congress in Anaheim.

More Help with Reimbursement
Reimbursement is confusing at best and confounding at worst. The AARC first stepped in to help with a Reimbursement College continuing education course in 2006, and now that effort is being continued with Reimbursement College II. AARC members can earn three FREE CRCEs for taking the course and passing a post-test.

AARC Member Sports Logo in Big Competition
If you tuned in to the Ironman competition that aired last Saturday on NBC you might’ve caught sight of a guy running in a red jersey with the AARC logo on the front. That was AARC member David Lain, who used the occasion to show off his pride in profession.

Good Press: AARC Members in the News
Our latest newsmakers run the gamut from therapists commenting on holiday shopping to those providing information on clinical issues ranging from sleep to asthma. Also included is a story out of Idaho congratulating Dr. Forrest Bird on his recent Presidential honor (see second item in this News Now for more).
