Asthma
Course Slated for Charlotte, NC, Aug. 25-26
Do
asthma patients fill your days? Live in or near Charlotte, NC? Then the
AARC's Asthma Educator Certification Preparation Course should be in your
very near future. The course will be presented August 25-26 in Charlotte,
but register by Monday, Aug. 13. The hotel deadline has passed, but rooms

of asthma, the AARC has another great program everyone can take advantage
of right in their own homes and offices – the Indoor
Asthma Triggers and the Respiratory Therapist course sponsored by the
American Respiratory Care Foundation and the U.S. Environmental Protection
Agency. This popular course is now available online and carries three
CRCEs for passing a post-test. It's all free of charge too!

News for Airline Oxygen Supporters
Key members of
the Congressional COPD Caucus have received a positive response from Department
of Transportation Secretary Mary E. Peters regarding their letter asking
for final regulations governing portable oxygen concentrators on board
commercial aircraft.

on stage during the AARC Congress, a new program at this year's meeting
in Orlando is for you. We'll be hosting open auditions for speakers for
the 2008 Congress in Anaheim, and everyone who's interested is urged to
apply for the “try-outs” now.
