Sections Publish Spring Bulletins

Members of the Long Term Care, Management, Neonatal-Pediatrics, Sleep, and Surface & Air Transport Sections can read the Spring issues of their Bulletins online now.

Long Term Care: Section Chair Gene Gantt updates members on section activities, and the issue also features an informative – and entertaining -- article on difficult-to-treat patients and how one facility is meeting their needs.

Management: Managers can read about everything from ventilator-associated pneumonia and how to stop it in its tracks to implementing a rapid response team in a small hospital, the “right” way to manage, choosing the best laryngoscope blades and handles, a new Legionella directive, and Part 2 of our series on carbon monoxide poisoning.

Neonatal-Pediatrics: Section Chair Brian Walsh covers the latest news from the section, and the issue also features a wonderful article on evidence-based guidelines for bronchiolitis that is a “must read” for anyone taking care of children with this common condition. 

Sleep: Section news is covered in-depth by Chair Karen Allen, and we also have a great overview on the basics of sleep, plus an article on one facility’s sleep week celebrations.

Surface & Air Transport: Transport safety takes center stage in this issue, in articles dealing with ambulance safety and a new approach to establishing a culture of safety.
