Long Term Care: This issue includes great articles on the Ombudsman Program and establishing an interdisciplinary approach to VAP prevention in the long term care setting.

Management: Editor Roger Berg shares his personal story of downsizing in his “Notes” column, and we have great articles on home sleep testing and moving your department forward.

Neonatal-Pediatrics: Caring for special needs kids in the hospital setting and the role of hypertonic saline in the treatment of bronchiolitis take center stage here. Section Chair Cyndi White also updates everyone on recent section activities.

Sleep: This issue includes three informative articles: two that address the need for inpatient testing for OSA and a third that delves into the opportunities that exist in portable home testing for patients who cannot or will not have an in-lab sleep study.

Surface & Air Transport: Section Chair Steve Sittig updates everyone on a number of section activities, and we have great articles on thermoregulation and management of the newborn on transport, the evolution of a neonatal transport team in Minnesota, and the RT department/transport program at a state-of-the-art children’s hospital in Nashville.
