The AARC International Respiratory Congress is living up to its name, as a large international attendance is expected at this year’s meeting. “After 21 very successful years, the international efforts of the AARC and the ARCF continue to pay off,” says International Committee Chair John Hiser MEd RRT FAARC.

International visitors will be honored at a fundraiser on Wednesday, Dec. 8, to which all convention attendees are invited.

Chief among these international visitors will be our 2010 International Fellows, who will come to the Congress fresh off of visits to two U.S. cities each, where they will get the chance to see American style respiratory care in action. The 2010 class of Fellows includes Major Adil Al Otaibi MSrc RRT (Saudi Arabia), Guillermo C.C. Nogales MD (Peru), Hui-Qing Ge RT BM (China), and Micheline Gmeiner MD (Austria).

The International Fellows will join the winners of the Hector Leon Garza Award, the Koga Medal, and other international dignitaries at an International Reception and Fundraiser on Wednesday, Dec. 8 from 5:30 to 7 in Ballrooms D-E in the Las Vegas Hilton.

Congress-goers who would like to attend this fundraiser are welcome. Minimum contribution is $100. Please RSVP to Kris Kuykendall by email or phone (972-406-4682) by Nov. 17.
