AARC Asthma Course Gets Results

August 15, 2008

The AARC’s Asthma Course has garnered praise—and even better, good results—from those who have attended in the past. Now you have three opportunities to take the AARC’s Asthma Certification Preparation Course this fall.

The course will be held:

Since the implementation of this program, over 2,000 respiratory therapists and other health care professionals have attended. This popular prep course has faculty who are noted for their experience in asthma management and education.

The National Asthma Education Certification Board recommends that anyone considering taking a prep course first find out what the pass rate of past attendees is. The good news for those who are planning on taking the AE-C exam is that surveys of individuals attending the AARC course show that they have a 20% higher pass rate than the average of respiratory therapists who have taken the asthma certification exam to date.

Take time now to review the programs and get registered.

I wanted to let anyone who is considering taking the exam for the AE-C credential know just how valuable the AARC prep course is. I attended the seminar in Cleveland. Overall, the weekend was oustanding. The course focused on the exam matrix and every section was covered extensively by a true professional in each area. The AARC provided me with all the materials that I needed to study for the exam, including the matrix and the current NIH guidelines. The course and materials were invaluable to me and I did not find it necessary to study any other materials.

I passed the exam with flying colors and owe it all to the hard work of the AARC members! Thank you so much for putting together such a great resourse and good luck to all the future AE-C ers!
